SYNOPSIS
Davide e Lucio live bondage as a discipline, a research, an obsession. Rarely they get out because their home is a kind of universe where they can be themselves, forgetting what expects them outside.
Director’s Statement
Still-lifes wants to investigate the particular and intense pleasure of being immobilized by one’s own will and playing with this unnatural state on the verge of pain. Becoming a sort of living still-life, even only for few moments: the tied person turns himself into something else, he/she decides to come close to what man secretly longs for: being inanimate, lifeless and therefore eternal, as a stone.
