Noci Sonanti
PerSo da non perdere – Massimo Betti (promo) - PerSo 2016Noci Sonanti
by Damiano Giacomelli and Stefano Teodori, Italy, 5′
Between the hills of Cupramontana, in an old farmhouse with no electricity and no comfort, Fabrizio (60) and his son Siddharta (11) are the main leaders of the Tribù delle noci sonanti (Tribe of the sounding walnuts). The days of Sid are a joining of playing and tilling the soil, with Fabrizio as a teacher and a father. During the sunset, studying replaces working, in order to pass the private school exam.
Once a month, Sid reaches his young mother Jessica in Liguria, leaving Fabrizio in the loneliness. Far from his tribe, the kid gets in touch with technologies and contemporary elements. So while Sid grows up, the father starts thinking about the future, freedom and his life-long motto: “A lonely walnut cannot sound”.
